The night time adventures of Yollo the cat have been revealed, thanks to a GPS device developed by his owner Dave Evans.

And the results have been surprising.

The G-Paws device showed Yollo travelled for miles around his home village of Mildenhall, near Marlborough, clocking up speeds of 17 kpm.

He frequents the pub garden, wanders around the cricket field and horse paddocks and is even partial to the odd trip down to the river, all between 2am and 6am every morning.

Mr Evans said: “I developed the G-Paws unit as I – like so many cat owners – was really curious about what Yollo was getting up to ‘on the other side of the cat flap’.

“However, I wasn’t prepared for what was going on with Yollo, wandering all around the village, in and out of gardens and even crossing the river bridge and heading to the next village.”

Such was the interest in Mr Evans’ G-Paws device he took the step to manufacture it and the unit has now launched ready for Christmas and is available in Countrywide stores and online.

The unit costs £49.95 and the data is transferred via a USB cable to a pet’s profile on g-paws.com where owners can see their travels on either street level mapping or aerial photography.

The unit has an internal battery that lasts for eight hours and a motion sensor so it only records whilst on the move.
