Volunteers from Greyhound Rescue West of England (GRWE) will be on hand to tall about the work they do at an event in Devizes on Sunday.

GRWE is active in the Devizes area and the team caters for ex-racing greyhounds and lurchers waiting to be rehomed. The group was recently named as national animal charity team of the year by the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes.

They will be at the RSPCA welfare event and fun dog show on The Green from 11am to 4pm.

Also at the event will be RSPCA inspectors, an animal behaviourist from Bath Cats and Dogs Home, representatives from Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital, Cats Action Trust, Dogs Trust and Kats and Kits.

Microchipping for dogs will be available as well as a limited amount of free cat neutering vouchers. Registration for the fun dog show is at 11am with classes, including best veteran and best rescue dog, starting at noon.
