Youngsters from Royal Wootton Bassett are joining the battle against cancer by walking eight miles for Macmillan.

Tyler Litton, five, and his brother Finley, three, will walk around the grounds of the Bowood Estate with mum Aimee, 29, to raise money for the cancer support charity.

Tyler wanted to do something after hearing about his grandmother’s friend, Jackie Jordan, being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Mrs Litton said: “Tyler must have overheard our conversation as he piped up that he would really like to help somehow. He wanted to do the London to Paris event but we thought that might be a bit much for a five-year-old.

“When we told Jackie, she burst into tears as she was so touched and it reinforced how the boys and I want to do something to help her and others.”

The family hopes to raise £150 by taking part in the Miles for Macmillan walk at 11am on Sunday. There will be two routes of three miles and eight miles. To sponsor them, visit www.justgiving .com\aimee-litton100.
