The Calne and District Twinning Association is holding a cream tea and a treasure trail on Sunday.

The association was formed in 1970, when Calne became linked with Charlieu, France. Later Calne became twinned with Caln, Pennsylvania, in 1982, and with Eningen-unter-Achalm, Germany in 1988.

It aims to foster friendship between the twinned towns and each year two out of the three visit the third twin.

To take part in the treasure trail meet at 2.30pm in the Bank House car park behind the Calne Heritage Centre. The cream tea is at 2 Wansdyke Drive at 3pm, along with a book stall, a raffle and a competition to guess the weight of the cake.

Tickets are £5 for the cream tea and £1 for the treasure trail. Details at www.calne- twinning.org.uk
