Corsham’s ABC Nursery has celebrated being judged outstanding in its recent Ofsted inspection.

The nursery, which employs 15 staff and cares for around 90 children, jumped up two grades from the last inspection to what inspectors described as a “well deserved outstanding”.

Manager Tina Thomson said: “We’re overwhelmed with the result. Our last inspection was satisfactory, our outside areas let us down, but since then we have continued to thrive and improve all areas and the hard work has certainly paid off with such a pleasing result.”

The report says that children thrive in the “enriching, inclusive setting” while activities are supported by enthusiastic and expert staff while safeguarding procedures are described as robust and rigorous.

Owner Kim Drew said: “It’s all down to the hard work and dedication from all my superb management and staff, who have kept focused on improving the quality of the provision we offer.”
