Devizes Young Farmers’ Club chairman Richard Lucas presented a cheque for £1,000 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance after another successful fundraising year.
The club has had some successful fundraising efforts over the last couple of years, which have included a Bop In The Barn event at Marden House Farm in Marden, thanks to Mark Noble for the use of the barn.
Driving golf buggies as courtesy vehicles at Barbury International Horse Trials also brought in cash, as did sponsorship from SW Agricultural Hire at Lacock.
At a committee meeting it was unanimously decided to give some money to worthy causes including the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal and Marden Cricket Club, which got £1,100.
The club plans to hand a similar sum to Wiltshire Search and Rescue Service at their final meeting of the year at Marden cricket field tomorrow evening.
