A bevvy of buskers will brighten up Hillworth Park this Sunday in the first of a series of weekend events organised by Devizes Town Council.
Billy Green, Lucii, Kevin Brown, Archie Combe and Jessie Branson will be playing in the park from 1.30pm to 5pm in an event subsidised by the Lottery grant the council bid for two years ago as part of its £1.5million refurbishment of the park.
The following Sunday, August 11, there is a folk festival featuring Chris T-T, Talis and Jessica as well as a chance for aspiring folk entertainers to show what they can do.
Devizes Carnival’s Picnic in the Park takes place on Sunday August 18, also with live music, and there is more Music in the Park on Sunday September 1 with live music from Shades of Blue.
Finally, on September 15, the council is planning Proms in the Park and promise more details closer to the time.
