A 35-year-old man from Devizes has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of arson with intent to endanger life after a van was set alight on a petrol station forecourt in the town last Friday.
Russell Osbourne, of Waiblingen Way, was arrested late on Monday night following inquiries across the weekend.
He is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court later this morning.
The charges follow a white van being set alight while on the forecourt of the Esso garage on Bath Road, Devizes shortly after 7pm last Friday.
The fire brigade was called but the occupants of the van, two men in their 20s, were able to extinguish the flames.
