Join Laura James and Tony Wright from the Breeze FM Breakfast show as Marie Curie Cancer Care take over the iconic estate of Badminton for its annual Walk Ten event.

The 10km-walk begins at sunset on Saturday, August 31, through the private deer park and woodland estate which is home to the Duke and Duchess of Beaufort.

The walk will be followed by an after dark picnic and entertainment, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display at 10pm, to mark the time Marie Curie nurses, like Catherine LeRoy, begin this night time shift, caring for terminally-ill patients in their own homes.

Catherine said: "It will be a very special evening. It will be fun but there will also be time to reflect on family and friends who are no longer with us.

"I’m sure people will enjoy their walk all the more, knowing it will directly help someone with a terminal illness benefit from our nursing service and remain at home with their loved ones in their last days”.

Walkers will also have to chance of winning over £1,000-worth of prizes, donated by local companies, including beauty treatments, meals out, activity days and delicious local food hampers.

Under sixteens and dogs walk for free while everyone gets a Walk Ten T-shirt to wear on the night, with all money raised from the event helping to provide more hours of Marie Curie nursing care in your local community.
