THE sun was shining as school leavers at Pewsey Vale School said their goodbyes at the Year 11 prom.

On Friday night the girls put on their glamorous frocks and the boys donned shiny suits and headed to the school for their farewell party.

Students voted for their prom royalty with Sam Flippance crowned King and Alex Parmenter voted Queen.

The best dressed boy award was won by Nathan Emery, while India Kirby and Taylor Britten were both voted best dressed girls.

Cath Symes, head of Year 11, said: “It was a really good evening.

“Everyone looked lovely. There weren’t as many big dresses as usual but the girls looked very glamorous.

“At the start of the evening everybody had some food and a bit of a dance, then the awards were given out followed by a balloon drop.

“They had a really good time and they all went out to an after party in Pewsey.”
