A 41-YEAR-OLD Chippenham woman died after a fall at home, an inquest heard.

Justine Evans, who had epilepsy, lost her footing in her Arundel Close home last December.

She died at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, the morning after surgery on a thighbone that was fractured in the fall.

Pathologist Carole Denton told Avon Coroner’s Court on Tuesday: “We know Justine was hypoxic and had low blood pressure. Both would reduce oxygen to the brain. That is likely to have triggered an epileptic fit.”

The fits caused cardiac arrest.

Assistant deputy coroner Terence Moore recorded a verdict of accidental death.
