Primary schools from across the Pewsey Vale were buzzing with ideas when they were given the challenge of creating a wheelbarrow garden with a bee theme.
Woodborough Garden Centre invited schools from Marlborough, Pewsey and Devizes to enter the contest which was judged by visitors to its Strawberry Fayre.
Easton Royal Primary School took first prize with Woodborough Primary second and Chirton third.
Alison O’Shaughnessy, of Easton Royal, said: “The children had a lovely time doing the barrow so it was all the more exciting when they found out that they had won.”
Ten schools were given compost and seeds and asked to come up with a design that incorporated pollinating friendly plants.
Garden vouchers and trophies will go to the winners.
