Bowood’s Rhododendron Walk season has been extended by another week, meaning the garden will be open until Sunday, June 23.
The 60-acre garden is the only one of its type in Wiltshire, being on a seam of greensand which runs from Poole in Dorset to the Wash on the east coast.
Its annual six week season usually finishes in early June, but this year flowering started later than usual because of the cold weather.
The gardens are open daily from 11am to 6pm.
Tickets are £6.50 for adults, £6 for senior citizens and children under 12 are admitted free.
Tomorrow, on Wednesday, June 19, there will also be a guided tour of Lord and Lady Lansdowne’s four-acre private walled garden.
