Young Corsham artists have displayed their art which features in a new comic book about the town.

Four Corsham School students worked with Bristol artists Ben Dickson and Georgina Huntley to produce Corsham Heroes.

The finished work was unveiled at The Pound Arts Centre on Friday, where copies will remain on display.

Mr Dickson said: “Through the process of creating the comic, we encouraged them to think about what makes a hero, and the conclusion was you don’t have to have superpowers. The man helping an old lady cross the street can be a hero himself.

“We spent six weeks working with the kids, and then I spent two weeks putting it all together. We gave them some help in generating ideas, but they came up with the final comic themselves.”

Copies of the comic have been given to the school, but some of the original drawings will remain on display at the Pound, alongside the Art of Storytelling exhibition, which features work by Roald Dahl illustrator Quentin Blake, and runs until July 20.
