Idly turning the pages of the Gazette for local news, I came upon My Word written by Mr Deedigan of Kandu Arts (Gazette, May 9).
I could not believe what I was reading! For all my 80-plus years I have never read such rubbish.
I’m at a loss for words. Not since Arthur Scargill left the scene have I read such stuff!
Is Mr Deedigan old enough to remember the national three-day working week? Does he remember the twice-daily power cuts and sitting round the candles in the evenings? Just think how lucky you are to have risen to become a ‘director’ of a company.
I’m too angry to write any more!
