Children from Hilmarton Pre-school went quackers for Meningitis Trust mascot Monty the duck when he led them on a sponsored walk around the village.
Around 25 children under the age of five took part and raised just under £180 for the charity, which supports people as they face life after meningitis.
After the event, parents received a signs and symptoms card, which aimed to raise awareness of the disease.
Renee Pardoe, parent and fundraising co-ordinator for the pre-school, said: “The children loved Monty – he was a lot of fun. I think we will keep it as an annual event. This is something that obviously affects kids of this age.”
The pre-school is still collecting donations.
To donate £5 to the Meningitis Trust, text DUCK62 £5 to 70070.
