Alzheimer’s Support is seeking volunteers to lead community fundraising efforts in towns across Wiltshire.
Volunteer fundraisers would organise their own events and encourage others to get involved to raise funds for the Wiltshire-based independent charity.
Alzheimer’s Support fundraising manager Lesley Crawford said: “This is a fun and exciting opportunity. Raising funds for a good cause is very rewarding and could be great practice for anyone thinking about a career in fundraising.
“We will give you lots of ideas to get you started and ongoing support.”
The charity, which offers services to people in the early to mid stages of dementia and their family carers, only receives £1 in statutory funding for every £4 spent. That means it has to raise more than £250,000 in the coming financial year to keep its day clubs, community activities and home support services running. The charity has a day centre and office in Sidmouth Street, Devizes.
