Children's activity group Tumble Tots is celebrating ten years of classes.
New deputy mayor John Scragg joined them at the physical play programme in Chippenham, where they were partying by splatting a big yellow wedge, swinging on monkey bars and singing favourite songs. Sessions are at St Paul’s church hall for children aged six months to five years.
Coun Scragg said: “I was very impressed by the equipment there. I wish I’d had that when I was a little boy.”
Debbie Bensley, who took over the franchise for Chippenham, Trowbridge and Bath three years ago, said: “Nothing gives me more pleasure than knowing that my team and I have helped to develop children’s co-ordination, balance, agility and social skills.
“The children love the classes and it is fantastic to see how they grow in confidence.”
Tumble Tots was named Best Activity Provider in this year’s Baby-Friendly Awards by baby charity Tommy’s.
