Burbage and Easton Royal Cricket Club has undergone a mini-makeover thanks to a grant from Charlie’s Charity.
The club received £1,000 from the sports charity, which was set up in memory of 18-year-old Charlie Lamb who was killed in a car crash in September 2009.
The money has been used to provide a new score box and umpires’ changing room which was officially opened by trustees of the charity, including Charlie’s mum Jane, last week.
Mrs Lamb said: “It’s an amazing club; you can see what they’re doing with the money.”
The charity is now looking for more sports clubs to apply for funding.
Mrs Lamb said: “We want to remind people that if they want to apply for funding they can get in touch.”
