Independant businesses in Devizes are getting together to ensure an upcoming travel fair reflects the best the town has to offer.
Devizes is noted for the number and range of its small, independent firms and June Allan of Travelwise and Coffeewise in Albion Place, Sidmouth Street, is making the most of them in the event on Saturday, June 1, from 11am to 4pm.
The fair will take place in The Gallery on the first floor of Devizes Books while Walter Rose & Sons, the butchers who have a shop at the other end of Sidmouth Street, will set up a hog roast in Albion Place, by courtesy of Devizes Town Council.
Among the independent tour companies exhibiting at the fair are Wendy Wu Tours, Sunspot, Bakers Dolphin, Great Rail Journeys, Prestige Holidays and Exodus.
Ms Allan said: “This is a perfect opportunity for local traders to support each other.”
