ORGANISERS of Seend Beer Festival are urging punters to buy tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

The 13th festival takes place on Saturday, May 4, at Seend Community Centre, from noon until 11pm.

Of the total 500 tickets on sale, 100 have been sold so far.

Co-organiser Richard Tod-hunter said: “We have never sold out in advance before, but that’s my aim. Last year we nearly sold out. As well as having outlets locally, tickets can be bought online.”

Mr Todhunter said more than 30 beers and ciders would be on offer, along with other alcoholic and soft drinks. There will also be a pig roast.

Bands Stoned-F and The Drystones, who performed at last year’s festival, are returning. Acoustic guitairist Phil King is also on the bill.

The festival raises money for Seend Community Centre.

Mr Todhunter said: “We’ve got a great location with a big outside space and it has a family friendly atmosphere. We have got some great entertainment. Non-beer drinkers can come at a reduced price.

Tickets are available from Seend Post Office, Brewery Inn at Seend Cleeve, Seend Community Centre and Devizes Books or online at www.seendbeer festival.co.uk
