Hospital violence not tolerated, say RUH

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: The RUH, Bath The RUH, Bath

Bosses at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, say violence towards staff will not be tolerated.

The warning has come after a woman was arrested and prosecuted for using threatening words or behaviour towards staff at the hospital on more than one occasion.

Nicholas Reed, security manager for the RUH, said: “Violence towards staff, both physical and verbal, will not be tolerated. Staff have the right to be safe at work. We have a range of sanctions available to use and if we need to pursue these, including prosecution through the courts, we will do it.”

If it was after more than one occasion then it must have been tolerated to some extent.
