I HAVE just had the pleasure of visiting Pewsey Library on World Book Day.
A large group of children from Pewsey Primary School, some dressed in character from their favourite books, were reading quietly, totally absorbed, well behaved and, best of all, not an iPad in sight!
This could be to the credit of overseeing staff from the school, and the library, but I would like to think that it was the children’s genuine interest in the joy of losing yourself in a book, and enjoying the wonderful facilities that our library has to offer.
