Wootton Bassett Light Operatic Society will stage the popular musical, Annie, at the Memorial Hall, Station Road, on April 14 to 18, at 7.30pm, and a Saturday matinee, 2.30pm.

This lively, upbeat show, set in New York in 1933, has wonderful songs, including Maybe, It’s a Hard Knock Life and Tomorrow.

Other principals are Jenny Fisher as Miss Grace Farrell, Stuart Dark as “Daddy” Oliver Warbucks, Ros Vickers as Miss Hannigan, Mike Davie as Rooster Hannigan and Suzanne Russell as his girlfriend Lily St Regis. Alan Fisher is the butler; Simon Roberts is Franklin D Roosevelt.
