THIS October will see the stage debut of TS Theatre Production’s latest offering at Swindon Arts Centre.

Game Face is the third play by local writer and director of TS Theatre Productions, Peter Hynds.

Described as a searing look at the cult of celebrity in today’s society, the play is an exciting venture for the company who are well known for challenging themselves and their audiences beyond what is usually expected in mainstream theatre.

Peter’s first show, Choice, has been performed in Swindon, London and Bristol, while his second piece, #theorder completed a nationwide tour in 2014 and is due to be adapted for film later this year.

With reviews stating he is 'one to watch', Peter’s writing is bold and often deals with issues that modern audiences can relate to.

Game Face follows six hopefuls as they take on TV’s toughest new reality show. As they compete in a desperate bid for popularity, they play asks just how far they will go in order to win, and what the ultimate and extreme price of fame could possibly be.

The play was conceived after Pete was dared to 'write a horror for the stage'.

"I have always loved the idea of writing a horror play," said Peter, "but more than that, I wanted to produce a show that would take the audience on a twisted rollercoaster ride so that they have no idea what’s to come. Game Face is definitely not for the faint hearted."

With rehearsals well underway, TS Theatre Productions, who have previously offered well-received productions of A Clockwork Orange, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and The Talented Mr Ripley, are set to produce their most shocking piece to date.

Game Face will be at Swindon Arts Centre on Saturday, October 3 at 7.30pm, with tickets priced at £10.*
