Chapterhouse Theatre Company are holding the opening night of their Pride and Prejudice tour at Lacock Abbey on Friday, June 12.

They will also be returning to Wiltshire with various performances throughout the summer.

This year marks Chapterhouse Theatre Company’s 16th year of touring UK and Ireland, bringing to life some of literature’s best loved classics in magical outdoor performances that are great fun for all the family.

Take a step back in time with Chapterhouse Theatre Company to meet Elizabeth Bennet, Jane Austen’s most loveable heroine. When Elizabeth meets the rude and abrupt Mr Darcy, she loathes him at first sight. But is there more to him than meets the eye? Join family and friends for what promises to be the most splendid evening of the summer as you picnic under a beautiful summer sky and lose yourself in this unforgettable love story. After all, it is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.

Gates open at 6pm for picnics. Please bring your own rugs and/or low-backed seating.

The performance will continue in all but the worst weather. Please dress warmly.
