DUE to the Devizes Twinning, the Devizes Festival Fringe Festival has been focussed predominantly over one weekend, opening on Friday night.

Fringe Festival-goers will be able to watch five free live events, at the town's best watering holes and restaurants over the two nights.

Things kick off at 8pm at the Bear Hotel Cellar Bar, with Chap Hop super star Professor Elemental supported by popular parody West Country rapping wurzel, Corky. Which finishes at 10pm.

You can stay for the whole set, which lasts til 10pm, or switch between venues, heading to The Lamb for 9pm to catch Bristol's Country heroes, Howlin' Lord, who play the best country this side of the states, finishing at 11pm.

Finally on Friday, make your way to The Southgate, where the fun also opens at 9pm, and sees one man band and loop pedal extraordinaire, Funke & the Two Tone Baby, also finishing at 11pm.

Saturday brings ragtime blues act, FP Pocket Orchestra, who will perform whilst you dine at Pizza Express from 7pm, after which you can scurry over to The Bear Hotel Cellar Bar for Pete Lamb's German friends and Twinning act, The Joern Baehr, Juergen Groener Four-Day-Only band. Who, as the name suggests have formed for four days only, to celebrate the Twinning of Devizes with Waiblingen. They are supported by the Collette Cassin Quintet.

Entry across all these events are FREE, and ENCOURAGED!
