THEATRE-GOERS in Devizes will be urged to relive their youth in the 1950s and 60s when they step back in time at the town’s Wharf Theatre.

Walk On Back to Happiness will feature local musicians Mike Martin and Warren James, with star guest Kevin Dean, on Saturday, April 15.

They are giving two performances, a matinee at 2.30pm and an evening performance at 7.30pm.

Mike said: “Do you remember the wonderful sounds of The Shadows and The Tornadoes beaming across the airwaves from Radio Caroline with their spellbinding instrumentals, Apache, Foot Tapper, and Riders in the Sky?

“If you do, then you will not want to miss our star guest, Kevin Dean, who recreates these nostalgic guitar sounds of swinging Britain which have since become the sound track to many people’s lives.”

The trio will be accompanied by the Hot Band for the light-hearted and foot-tapping show, which will feature the songs of Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, The Everly Brothers, Lonnie Donegan, Joe Brown, The Seekers, Tommy Steele, and many more hit parade heroes.

Tickets are £16 each, plus a booking fee, from The Wharf Theatre box office on 03336 663 366.
