CHIPPENHAM Town have secured the signing of former Gloucester City defender Mark Preece.
As revealed by gazetteandherald.co.uk yesterday, Town were linked with a move for the 27 year old after he was released by the Tigers.
Gloucester yesterday announced that centre-back Preece, who has also previously featured for Forest Green Rovers, Mansfield Town and Bath City, was one of three players to have left the Conference North outfit.
Bluebirds boss Mark Collier this week confirmed that defender Matt Coupe, who joined the Bluebirds from Gloucester at the start of the season, is facing up to a spell on the sidelines with a fractured bone in his leg.
