Temporary traffic lights are set to be installed on a busy main road into a Wiltshire town for 12 nights.

The roadworks will be in place on the A4 Bath Road, between the Methuen Park Roundabout and The Pheasant Roundabout during a period of nearly two weeks.

Multi-way traffic signals are scheduled to be operational on the A-road between the hours of 7pm and 11pm from Monday, February 19, until Friday, March 1.

During this time Wiltshire Council will be carrying out highway drainage repairs and associated works.

Motorists have been warned that delays on the route are likely during this period, as a result of the works.

At the same time, a new phase of alterations will begin at The Pheasant Roundabout as part of a scheme to improve the junction for users.

This will run from February 19 until March 28 and will involve toucan ducting and box installation, works to the kerbs and footpaths, and drain investigations.

While there will be some carriageway incursion, it is not anticipated this will cause delays.

Improvement works at the roundabout recently began moving forward once again after the area was fenced off for over a year during a lengthy delay.
