An empty town centre premises could be set for a new use after the closure of an axe-throwing centre.
The unit has remained disused for over two months, while work crews appeared to carry out some refurbishment works, but could now be set for a change of use.
A message has been plastered on the windows of the building claiming that the unit is now available for new businesses to take on, either as a whole or as a split.
The 6,224sq foot property is described as a “hospitality, retail, gym opportunity” that is available to let through estate agents Carter Jonas.
The prominent retail unit has now been completely stripped of all interior decorations and furnishings but retains all its main services.
In November 2022, Enigma Rooms transformed the site into an axe-throwing centre equipped with an escape room experience.
But just seven months later a change of ownership came when Tanner Leisure Ltd sold the franchise to new management.
When this deal fell through less than a month later, Enigma confirmed they would leave the town permanently.
