A Wiltshire business is facing an employment tribunal after a former employee made a claim for unpaid wages.

In a notice from Bristol Civil and Family Justice Centre, Chippenham-based Tanner Leisure Ltd was informed a public hearing will be held at 2pm on September 8 to resolve the matter.

The claim was lodged by Sky-Anne Haley, who was previously employed by Tanner Leisure Ltd.

Miss Haley is seeking compensation after alleging she is due unpaid wages from February.

Her claim will be heard by an employment judge in order to determine if it is successful and, if so, what compensation should be awarded.

A copy of the claim has also been sent to the Advisory Conciliation and Arbitration Service.

Tanner Leisure Ltd, owned by Wiltshire couple John and Emma Tanner, was incorporated in September last year and most recently owned the Chippenham branch of Enigma Rooms on New Road.

But the company recently sold the axe throwing and escape room venue in order to pursue other ventures in the area.

At the time, they said: “We are very proud to have built this amazing leisure facility from an empty unit to bring a much-needed boost to the town.

“We wish the new owners every success and I hope you will support them with the same passion.”
