Spring has definitely sprung. The crocuses and snow drops are up and the first daffodils of Spring are appearing.

So pupils at Great Bedwyn School decided to spread some cheer around their village.

They put together bunches of daffodils and delivered them to members of the community.

The children from Reception and Year 1 who are in school as part of the keyworker group, walked around the village and handed out the flowers.

Local residents and community volunteers who haven’t been able to come into school during the pandemic all got a bunch.

"The children have had some lovely letters back, and hand painted thank you pictures have even gone up in some of the windows in Great Bedwyn," said Michelle Perrett, school principal.

"We are happy to have had the chance to help strengthen our community links and brighten up people’s houses.
