The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Wiltshire increased by 284 in the last seven days. Wiltshire remains in tier 2.

Five people who tested positive in the past month have died, bringing the total to 433, and another 36 have been admitted to hospital.

Figures collated in the week to December 22 saw Trowbridge North with 5 new cases and a rate per 100 thousand of 74.9.

Trowbridge South East had nine new cases Trowbridge East 11 cases, and Trowbridge South, 10.

Staverton, Hilperton and Semington had six new cases and seven for Bradford on Avon.

The Bowerhill, Atworth and Whitley areas had 10 positive tests and a rate of 87.6.

Melksham South had three new cases, and there were seven in Melksham North. Corsham, Bowerhill and Lacock had a total of 18 new cases, and a rate of 133.8 per 100 thousand people. Box, Colerne and Rudloe had three.
