WITH lockdown still in place, VE celebrations in Marlborough are going online.
The town council is creating a photographic album and is asking people to send pictures in to create an archive. They are asking for mementos or family photographs, and they also want to bring it up to date with contributions from people doing VE Day activities at home.
The town crier, Mike Tupman, will also be filmed, and then put on line, reading the peace declaration.
The email address is enquiries@marlborough-tc.gov.uk . The album will be live this week and the council is keeping it’s options open for a celebration to be held on VJ - Victory in Japan Day - in August, subject to lockdown restrictions.
