COLOURFUL birds will flood the streets of Chippenham next month as the Peacock Arts Trail travels to the town for the first time ever.
The event, that takes place every two years, usually takes place in Corsham and its surrounding villages but will lead fans to Chippenham this year, between October 5-13.
The famous Yelde Hall will be opened up during this nine day period to display some of the best peacock-related art that local artists have to show.
All of the exhibitions will be free of charge to visit and people are encouraged to see as many as they can.
To mark this maiden visit to Chippenham, an impressive yarn peacock has been knitted and installed at the Neeld Hall.
