A GRANT of up to £10,000 is now available for community groups in Wiltshire and the surrounding areas.
Community groups in the county, Gloucestershire and Somerset can apply for the grant, offered by charity Heart UK and the Subway brand, which promote health and try and reduce the risk of heart disease. The grant is available for original projects that focus on promoting a healthy heart lifestyle and should aim to encourage activities such as healthy cooking skills, improving physical activity levels and mental wellbeing.
Heart Research UK chief executive, Barbara Harpham, said: “The aim of our partnership with the Subway brand is to encourage people to make good healthy choices and give practical help to do so. This grant will help even more people learn how to look after their heart health and lead healthier, happier and longer lives.”
Applications close on April 12.
