KFC enthusiasts in Trowbridge were dealt a major blow as the fast food outlet in the town had to close as it ran out of chicken.
Hundreds upon hundreds of the fried chicken giant's branches across the UK were closed after suffering 'teething problems' with its new supplier.
The Bradley Road joint was also hit by the chicken crisis, meaning that hungry customers will have to go elsewhere for at least a couple of days.
The Twitter account of KFC UK & Ireland said: "The chicken crossed the road, just not to our restaurants…
"We’ve brought a new delivery partner on board, but they’ve had a couple of teething problems – getting fresh chicken out to 900 restaurants across the country is pretty complex. The Colonel is working on it."
