ACTRESS Hayley-Jo Whitney and Mamma Mia! film star Tom Goodall visited Stagecoach Theatre Arts School in Trowbridge on Saturday (July 4) to guest judge a talent competition.

Hayley-Jo, best known as the short-sighted Zumba dance teacher in a Specsavers TV advert, watched on as pupils from Stagecoach Theatre Arts Schools in Trowbridge and Frome showcased their best singing, dancing and acting skills.

She drew upon her wealth of performing arts experience to enrich budding pupils, alongside Mr Goodall, who has also performed as a backing dancer for Take That and Lionel Ritchie.

Frederica Underwood, Principal of Stagecoach Theatre Arts Trowbridge and Frome, said: “I’m thrilled Hayley-Jo and Tom joined us at what proved to be a showcase of exceptional talent.

“My pupils had a first-hand experience of performing in front of professionals and received guidance and valuable feedback to help them on their journeys to becoming stars.”

Stagecoach Trowbridge and Frome are part of a network of more than 600 part-time Theatre Arts Schools Worldwide. Early Stages classes are available for children aged 4 to 6 and Main Stages classes take place for 6 to 18 year olds.
