CHIPPENHAM were stunned by an early converted try in this Bristol Combination Cup semi final, after being turned over at the kick-off.

It was the wake-up call the visitors needed as sustained pressure allowed number eight Jack Hurring to cross in the corner.

Owen Waters booted a penalty soon after to give his side the lead and Hurring added his second try after taking a quick tapped penalty, Waters adding the extras.

Ben Atkinson fielded a Winscombe clearance and sent Dom Mackenzie away for the next try before half time.

Mackenzie powered through tackles for his second after the interval and George Broom also touched down and Waters converted after the hosts had scored their second try.
