CHIPPENHAM U15s claimed the Dorset & Wilts Cup for the third year running with a 34-7 victory over North Dorset on their own Gillingham pitch.
For the first five minutes, North Dorset went on the offensive, with the forwards steamrolling everything in their path and they opened the scoring with a converted try after five minutes.
Chippenham finally found their feet and fly-half Harry Taylor’s kicking brought them back into the game.
When the loose ball was caught and taken on by Theo Blundell he found full-back Dan Treacy to touch down.
The second try came when the ball was switched back inside to Sam Wild who ploughed over, Taylor slotting the conversion.
From the restart, Jamie Atkin started a move that saw Ian Jenkins scored in the corner North Dorset fought back, but Chippenham held out before aquick tap-and-go saw Ollie Salt bludgeon his way towards the line and Ollie Jones complete the try-scoring move.
Number eight Rhys Brown ran in Chippenham’s fifth try and Rob Moore added the sixth to confirm Chippenham’s cup win.
