WILTSHIRE rider Chelsea Pearce was awarded the Hubert Allfrey Trophy at last week’s British Eventing Awards Lunch at Stoneleigh Abbey.

The 18-year-old, from Shalbourne, was honoured after finishing as the top British rider at the Junior European Championships in Montelibretti, Italy, where she came eighth riding Albert VI.

“I was delighted to pick up this award and so proud of how Albert VI performed out in Italy,” said Pearce.

“This was my first season working with Longcroft Building Services, so I was delighted to achieve a good performance.

“I’m looking forward to the new season and the brand new challenge of Young Riders, and we kick off our season at Aldon International on Sunday March, 19.”
