IT’S been a really good couple of days for me, starting with my call-up to the England Lions squad for the Tri Series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka’s A teams next week.

It’s a pretty hectic schedule, we will meet up on Sunday, train on Monday and then play on Tuesday. It’s a pretty full on 10 days or so but I am looking forward to it.

I think there are a couple of us in the squad who have played a fair bit of domestic cricket and obviously Sam Billings has played a few games for England, as has Mark Wood as well.

We will try to help the younger lads who are new into the set-up but I am sure they will settle in fine as it is a good environment. I was new to it in the winter and I loved every minute of it as it was very easy to settle and do what you do for your county.

It’s nice to be involved in that again, so hopefully I can have a good series and put myself in contention for England’s 50-over games against Pakistan later in the summer.

That would be amazing but if I don’t have a good series, I will just go back to Hampshire and continue to try to do well and that will potentially get me talked about and picked.

I am not going to do anything differently, though, I am just going to do what I have done all summer and that’s keep on enjoying my white ball cricket.

Then on Sunday I scored my first County Championship century of the season for Hampshire against Warwickshire.

I played well, it was obviously a pretty good wicket as nearly 700 runs were scored in the first two days, so you have to try to cash in on those wickets.

I got 89 against Middlesex earlier in the season, so to get over the line and get 100 was pleasing.

White ball cricket has gone very well for me so far this summer but in red ball cricket, I have been a little bit short of runs, so it’s nice to get into some form going into more white ball cricket and the Lions matches next week.
