CLAYTON Fredericks is poised to return to the saddle this week after recovering from his recent fall in France.

The Australian international, who is poised to represent his country again at this summer's Olympic Games, spent last week in hospital after he came off ride Be My Guest at the Saumur CCI three-day event and the mare trod on his stomach.

The 43-year-old, based at Little Cheverell with wife and fellow Australin competitor Lucinda, arrived home yesterday after being released from hospital.

A statement on the Team Fredericks website said: "He’s feeling fit and well and looking forward to the run up to London. He thanks everyone for their incredible support and kindness over the last few weeks.

"The plan is to head off on Saturday with Bendigo and Walterstown Don to Gilbert Bockmann’s to train on show jumping followed by training with Brett Parbery for dressage.

"From there Clayton will be going on to Renswoude in the Netherlands to compete in the CIC3*** between the June 7-10.

"Following this Bendigo is entered at the 3* at Luhmuhlen and Walterstown Don in the CCI4**** to hopefully qualify him.''
