MELKSHAM claimed their 11th win on the trot after coming from two goals down in Somerset.

The Conigre side now need just eight points from their final six games to secure promotion to the Premier Division and jost leaders Cadbury Heath tonight.

The visitors nearly took the lead at Chard as a home defender, under pressure from Dan Kovacs headed past his own keeper, only for the ball to hit a post.

However, it was the home side who took the lead on 13 minutes as Melksham keeper Tom Drewitt was deceived by a long-range shot.

Kovacs went close to an equaliser with an overhead kick, but his side found themselves two down two minutes later.

On 38 minutes, they got themselves back into it as Gary Higdon fired home after a scramble in the area..

Melksham continued to create the chances either side of half time and they finally levelled on 56 minutes as Kovacs fired high into the net from close range.

Melksham then claimed the winner as Higdon met Dave Macey's free-kick to notch his 32nd goal of the season and take his goalscoring partnership with Kovacs to the 50 mark.
