CHIPPENHAM Town's winless run was extended to eight matches as a late goal at Hardenhuish Park took Oxford City second in the Premier Division.
Aaron Woodley struck 10 minutes from time to pile on the misery for Adie Mings' men, who have won just once since the turn of the year.
The win moved City four points behind leaders Brackley with a game in hand.
In a low-key match, Woodley's strike came somewhat against the run of play.
Substitute Ross Stearn almost snatched a point for the home side late on, but his shot struck a post as the Bluebirds' freefall down the league table continued.
