IT was a disappointment we didn’t come home with the silverware on Sunday – but that doesn’t take away from the fantastic support that team had with the 30,000 fans that made the journey from Swindon.

I think it was always going to a case that our fans would outnumber the Chesterfield fans due to the relative populations of the two areas but 30,000 was a fantastic effort.

Wembley was always a bonus in what has been a very successful season. We went there with dreams of doing the double this year but unfortunately that won’t be happening.

But we play Bristol Rovers this Saturday and we’re expecting a crowd of over 12,500.

We’re still chasing promotion and maybe even finishing the season as champions.

There have been a few Wembley-related things that have needed taking down around the club this week but that’s all done now.

On Tuesday we had 160 people in the Legends Lounge at the County Ground for our sponsors evening.

All of the players were in attendance and Paolo and his management team did their best to spend time talking to people on every table.
