CHIPPENHAM’S Georgina Bryce has proved invincible in one section of national riding club competitions this year, writes KATE HEALEY.

The Bath Riding Club competitor, Bryce, mum to young sons Hamish and Archie and about to return to work as a secondary school teacher, has dominated the pairs dressage category for the second year running, with Peasedown’s Kim Walker and their dark bay horses Max and Otto.

The two compete together in the dressage arena, performing a test they have devised themselves to a range of music.

They won the British Riding Club’s National Pairs Dressage title for the second year running at Lincoln Showground, which holds the club end of season outdoor finals contested by thousands of qualified riders, seven marks clear of their rivals.

“We were feeling the pressure after winning last year but the test went well and we had a dry spell to ride in amongst some very wet weather,” said Walker.

It was then onto Aintree Equestrian Centre, right by the hallowed racecourse, for the British Riding Clubs Dressage to Music championships, held each October.

Their mark of 72.83 proved unbeatable, with the Shropshire-based Maelor club running them closest two points behind.
