PEWSEY dominated a one-sided contest, but were held up by unforced errors and a high penalty count in Dorset & Wilts One North.

With five minutes gone flanker Matt Curry was stopped short but prop Mike Breakspear was in close support and dived over for teh first try.

Centre Adam Stephens scored the second on the half hour, taking a switch pass from fly-half Tom Haynes and adding the conversion.

Two minutes before half time, Stephens crossed after a well-worked backs move.

In a stop-start second half, Benger’s inside centre Chris Bolter intercepted a flat pass to score between the posts, full-back Ben Gray converting.

But Vale finished the match with an unopposed 20 metre sprint in by flanker Olly Spence for the bonus point try, Stephens adding the extras, before wing Tony Bloomfield won a foot race to the line from 30 metres.
