BASSETT turned on the power in the second half of their Southern Counties South clash after turning around locked at 21-21.
Alchester scored the opening three tries to lead 21-0 but Nick Parker finished off several phases for the visitors’ opening score and second row David Hogg and skipper Gary Williamson also touched down to help tie the scores.
After a stern talking to from coach Les Brown Bassett came out in the second half with much more intensity, scoring four tries to take a 40-21 lead.
Alchester pulled a score back, but Neil Clark and Grant Murdoch added two more to secure Bassett’s victory.
